Out of the arena, and whether or not you choose to include combat at your event, members can display and talk about their arms and armour, and visitors have the opportunity to handle armour in a safe and supervised environment

Pelican-in-her-Piety presents a wide variety of replica weaponry and differing styles of armour available to the Late Medieval fighting man, most particularly of the Wars of the Roses era. It was at this time that armour had reached its finest flowering before the introduction of firearms rendered it almost obsolete.

As with all of our activities, safety is of paramount importance and our fighters are trained in mock combat and tested for competency. The arena is double-roped, keeping the public at a safe distance from the combat at all times.
